Beach Sunrise | Deerfield Beach

As a native South Floridian, I was surprised when I recently realized that I have never been over to the beach at sunrise. (Really!) The irony is that I only 1.4 miles from the beach. (Again...Really!)

So I made it a priority this month and managed to stumble out of bed yesterday morning in the dark, grabbed my gear and ran over to the beach to catch sunrise with my camera.

HAPPINESS!

I was surprised at how many people were at the beach WELL before the sun comes up. All types…walkers, runners (God bless em’) kayakers, snow birds, coffee drinkers, metal detector folks and yes myself, a photographer. All for the same reason…appreciation of the sun coming up for yet another day.

Enjoy!

Road Trips - Sunsets & Blurry Photos

Road trips...as South Floridians we have had our fair share of road trips to get somewhere. It takes at least 3 hours to get to Orlando and nearly 5 just to get out of the state (on the east coast that is).
We've all snapped photos zippin' down the road. I've been pushing myself to try new areas in photography recently...this was one of those "let's see how they turn out" moments. And can I say...I'm so stinkin' happy with the results. All from inside the car at around 65 MPH.

Before you ask...I was NOT driving while taking these. ;)
I'm loving the abstract ones...the trees are just the coolest!! Someone tell Ikea or Crate & Barrel they should be selling them.  ;)

Enjoy!

Valentine's Day "Table Shoot"

I was sitting at the dining room table with the girls reading all the candy heart messages. Giggling at some of the silly ones and awww-ing over the sweet ones. Then we came across some VERY contempory messages.

"Tweet Me."   Really??!!

Then, my youngest who thinks that EVERYTHING should be photographed, suggested we photograph some candy. So we did. They REALLY got into the styling of candy. Right down to the choice of which messages were to be shown. They made good choices.

Today, and every day, these are the MOST important words.
The only 2 words you need.
(3 if you count "laugh")

Happy Valentine's Day!!
