New Day, New Year...New Life | Sunrise Wedding

Getting up early for your best friend is one thing. Getting up early New Year's Day for sunrise...well...that's when you really know who loves you! ;)

I knew the second Paula told me that she and Craig had decided on New Year's morning to get married, it was the perfect choice for starting their new life together.

They decided on a simple and intimate ceremony officiated by her dad. Surrounded by close family and their girls. I caught this shot of Paula's daughter Savannah looking on and I started to tear. When I turned the camera to Paula and she was tearing...that really tested my photographer skills. (I teared up too and shot with blurry eyes.)

Congratulations to Craig and Paula and the beginning of a wonderful life together!
Enjoy!

"Christmas & New Years...Plus a New House" Session | South Florida Photographer

How exciting to be in a beautiful new home for the holidays! This mom had it all together!! After moving in just a week before Christmas, she had coordinated her family of 5...plus grandparents, for family pictures. A daunting task for most of us, but she did it with calm style and grace.

You all know my philosophy of "letting them play with sticks." (Check out this post from earlier this year.) The boys...7, 5, and 2 were very excited to be in the new house and Christmas just around the corner. Mom's wish was some family pictures around the tree & the staircase. We got those and let them play later.

With a little help from Photoshop we got those group images with everyone looking front & center. But, I have to say, MY favorite is the littlest one crawling up the stairs while the rest of the family poses in front of the tree. He was done. He wanted to go off and "play with sticks".  It's what they do when they're 2 years old.  :)

Later, Mom had this great idea of getting out the red wagon and some moving boxes. She was wanting to put together a "New Year, New Home" card. I love how the "photo story" came together for these.

Enjoy & Happy New Year!

There he GOES....
